Easy Homemade Marinara Sauce

Oh, how I love snow days!  Tonight Mary Fowler had a much-anticipated sleepover with a friend.  They play babies with their Lee Middleton realistic babies.  Every Baby Bjorn in the house is in use and the sofas in the basement are all converted into minivans.  Love it.  I believe there were even some babies being birthed down there.  Should I be worried about that??

I feel like I haven't left the house this weekend!  I did take the kids to the playground Saturday but besides that, I really haven't!  It was so nice having people come to me and I was very lucky to have some food and beverage ready to go.  Meal planning is working so far!  Only 2 weeks in...

Red wine

Baked Ziti
(although I did have to make my own marinara sauce)
Since I had to search for it, here is the easiest recipe I've found!

Quick & Easy Marinara

 1 Tbsp chopped garlic
1 onion, finely chopped
in about 3 Tbsp olive oil over medium heat.
When the onion is translucent, add 2 (28 oz) cans crushed tomatoes.
Add (at least) 1 Tbsp. basil, oregano, or italian seasoning.
Salt and Pepper to taste.

Simmer for as long as you like!
