Where has the time gone?  School is going well for the kids so far this year.  I feel so lucky that my kids do not fight the early bedtime of 8pm.  It really does work for us.  Even 30 minutes later to bed and we can tell a difference in the morning.

Davis has had a little struggle with homework time management but I think limiting screen time to Friday, Saturday, Sunday will help with that.  I was hoping he could make some good choices on his own but I think he first has to see how quick and easy things go when one doesn't procrastinate.  Any advice welcomed!

Our Bible study has also begun and we are off to a great start!  Each year we study a different section and this year is Romans.  Last year was John and before that Genesis.

This weekend Adam took the kids camping with Indian Princesses so I was able to work on a photo book project.  Two of my college sorority sisters and I are flying up to Chicago for a visit and I wanted to compile all the pictures I have into a book for them to have.  Ever since I loaded all my pictures onto one computer this summer, I have loved looking through them and organizing a little bit.

Friday night the boys were on their camping trip so Mary Fowler and I had a little date night and went shopping for her.  She is such a better shopper than me!  First she asked Adam how much we should spend, then she prioritized that she needed new skinny jeans, shoes, and tops.  We were going to go out to dinner, but we were so pooped, we bought two slices of cheesecake (her FAVORITE!) "to go" and then went home and watched The Help in our pajamas.  I saw it at the theatre with two of my cousins soon after we moved in, and she has been dying to see it.  She really liked it.  It remains one of my very favorite books.

Last weekend we visited my aunt and uncle at their river home and it was so nice to catch up with them and enjoy the lovely weather.  I snapped this with my phone as Adam and my uncle were having some coffee one morning.  So special.  I also kind of learned to french braid- Mary Fowler couldn't be more thrilled.  I'm feeling a little guilty that I don't take a huge interest in her hair like some moms do.  Honestly, I think it is because SHE does such a good job, that I don't feel it's necessary?

And finally, Davis might like to be Minecraft Steve for Halloween this year so good luck to me...
