Project Life Week 1

Game Changer

Every once in a while, you see something on Pinterest and you try it and it works... and it changes your life.  This wooden paint-stirrer picture hanging trick is just that.  Pretty self-explanatory.

Please try not to focus on my weird smooshed up lobster claw hand.

When we remodeled Mary Fowler's bedroom the summer before 6th grade, I framed several of her school art projects in big white IKEA matted frames.  When it came time to hang them, the wires were just a little different on each one.  This trick saved my sanity.

I don't know how one would do projects like this gorgeous entry remodel below without it!

Welcome 2015!

As much as I LOVE the holidays, I am always energized by the New Year!  We had a great Christmas.  This year was a little different because we spent the whole two weeks out of town- first to Roanoke and then in Chicago to visit Adam's brother and his family.  We don't get to see them very often, so it was really nice.  I took a lot of pictures and I am slowly getting them into pages.  I love looking through my pictures and re-living the good memories.

As always, I won't post the really personal ones, but I recently did this series of pages after being inspired by the top 3 pictures on the beach.  We spent a week at the beach with my mom's whole side of the family for Thanksgiving, and as I explain in the text, this was a moment in time for my two kiddos.  So special.

That page made me want to look back at some pictures of Mary Fowler and Davis when they were little and try to show some examples of their earlier relationship.

Mary Fowler has a birthday coming up so I think Davis will give her the Big Sister page.  I just noticed I failed to capitalize the M in Mary, but I'm not going back to change it :)
